Most popular kid in the class ...Prom King & Queen ...American Idol ...yes, there is much focus at any stage of our life to judge our worth in diverse categories.

It is good to aspire to improve, and to do our best ...yet, what criteria do we commonly use to measure self-worth??

Who do we admire?  Would we want to perhaps be them ...if we could??

I am going to mention some women who've been prominent in the 20th century, and many still alive today:
  • Jane Adams
  • Marie Curie
  • Jiang Qing
  • Eleanor Roosevelt
  • Indira Gandhi
  • Sandra Day O'Connor
  • Virginia Woolf
  • Margaret Sanger
  • Margaret Thatcher
  • Mother Teresa
  • Corazon Aquino
  • Oprah Winfrey
  • Hillary Clinton
  • Angela Merkel
Added to the list could be countless movie stars and models ...and we have a quite extensive group.  Some are beloved, and some are despised ...according to what your preference is.

Few people would despise Mother Teresa ...and some would say she is the greatest on the list. Yet, how many would aspire to do as she did? How many would like to take her place?  How many would like to be another Mother Teresa?

I believe some of you would, but very few.

Okay, just an example ...but, I'll include a guy's list also:
  • Winston Churchill
  • Martin Luther King Jr.
  • Billy Graham
  • Franklin Roosevelt
  • Joseph Stalin
  • Manmohan Sigh
  • Yasser Arafat
  • John Dewey
  • Sigmund Freud
  • Carl Sagan
  • Alfred Hitchcock
